What’s Roasting?

Janelle, that would be “chestnuts roasting on an open fire.” (In case you missed it, see yesterday’s post.) But given your passion for food, I am not surprised that you wrote “marshmallows.”
In fact, you’ve probably been singing that song all these years inserting the word “marshmallows” in place of “chestnuts,” because that’s what you would enjoy roasting (and eating!).
