Thanks to all of you who expressed your care for family and friends by wanting to bless them with a Risen CD. We wish we could send one to everyone who wrote us, and we pray all who are suffering will be encouraged and comforted by the glorious reality of Christ’s resurrection.
I would love to give one to my friend Leigh. She is a godly, wonderful, solo mum of three and a selfless and supportive friend to me. Life has been very difficult since our last earthquake (Christchurch, New Zealand) and it’s hard to look forward and not give in to fear. I would love to give her a present which would encourage her and remind her of the hope we have in our risen Lord. Thanks very much.
I’d love to give this new Sovereign Grace cd to my husband. He is gearing up for a deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan. I’m sure he could use some inspirational songs to take with him.
I would like to give a Risen CD to my friends Gabe and Monica. Their two year old son passed away last Monday evening after being hit by a car while playing outside at a friend’s home. Gabe and Monica are Acts 29 church planters. In the face of this tragedy, and through the depths of their sorrow and mourning, they have portrayed the beauty of the gospel to those around them in so many ways. They used their son’s funeral as an opportunity to welcome others into God’s story of redemption, evidenced in their beautiful little boy’s heart for serving, and have unceasingly proclaimed the glory of the gospel as their only hope. The truth of the resurrection, and the hope of Christ’s return has taken deeper root in my heart and the hearts of those in our community since his death. I believe this cd could provide their family with encouraging reminders of their hope in Jesus as they fight for joy in the midst of their mourning.
